Upon further review, the hinge is reversed and moved to the original location that can be seen. Why the upholstery shop did not use the holes that are clearly visible under the new vinyl is unknown to me.

Made some tower speakers today.
Do those clamps swivel?
Yes they do. " The enclosures were designed with a nine-degree axis rotation in either direction, allowing the speaker cans to be aimed in the most desirable location to deliver maximum sound quality."

Having an issue with the motor box to fit with this crazy pylon setup. Is the pylon supposed to have this much rake to it?

Yeah it looks right. My motor cover just touches the pylon as it closes and then sits just off it closed. It is very tight. It looks like a huge slant but with the front seat in and motor box down it looks a little less full on.

Not sure if that's a night club or your boat. Such a simple enhancement with a huge benefit. Looks awesome.
