I've had my share of experience with tug wakes. Never took any water over the bow though. Either slow and bow high or go parallel to them. I've told my driver if he's pulling me Don't worry about me, do what you need to keep the boat safe and dry. Actually on my old I/O years ago I was in the bow and a fried driving when he was surprised by a huge tug wake. He freaked and went to idle, tucked the bow and I thought we were going down for a secord. When in doubt, throttle out.
Anyhow, my third bailed so dawn patrol is cancelled... Third time in two weeks I'm up before the sun with the boat ready to go and I don't get to ride. Makes me want to sell the boat.
