usually you can tap into the tranny cooler drain screw. and its cooler water
Like docdrs said above.
I believe this is the nipple I used but it would be best to double check your size, there are a few sizes and angles available.

I tapped mine how the SkiDim guys told me to do it and it backed up what the instructions said however, after my issues last year the tap is now the first thing out of the raw water pump before any of that water gets to the thermostat housing.
The other thing I did was honed out the inside diameter of the pass through for the tap as it does not need to be that thick in my opinion, you are not going to really torque down a rubber hose with a hose clamp tight enough to where thinning it out will now allow it to crush. This removed some of the restriction to the water flow I found after installing it.
I'm not sure if the 351w boats are different, but on a 454 Supra the trans cooler is on the suction side of the pump. You want to tap somewhere on teh pressurized side of the raw water pump.
Ohhhhh, I was thinking a newer supra , Vdrive, where the cooler is post impeller. If its pre impeller then you can't use it..... my bad ....good catch cadunkle
Sounds like you're tryon to pull vacuum on the seal. This will kill it quickly. You need a water supply to the seal, tappes from the output or pressure side of the pump.
You guy are to smart . Lol , I was watching the seal as I revved it the other night and I was wondering why the damn thing was moving side to side lol , i'll get something made up this week to put it after the raw water pump, it's just hard to find one inch barbed ends that are in a T , to 3/8 barbed

Remember my post? It takes some work but your best bet is to find a brass T fitting that has the O.D. you need and then open up the I.D. to allow better flow and install it right after/on top of the raw water pump as the line runs up to the T-stat housing. Today is my "Monday" starting a five day block of days so I won't be able to get a picture of my set up until Sunday at the earliest.

That's the spot, I would adjust the smaller fitting part to basically exist straight back and then route the line down along the stringer and then over to the seal.
