1985 Supra Rider seat height?

We're finishing up a major restoration on our 19' Supra Rider (new stringers and floors, rebuilt 351, etc.). The original driver's seat was missing so we purchased one online and upholstered it to match the rest of the interior. We originally used a cheap 7" steel fixed height pedestal, but the seat seems too low to me - difficult to see in front of the boat without standing most of the time. Other options are 9-10" minimum pedestal height. If anyone has the same or similar boat, we'd appreciate guidance on what the seat height should be - distance from floor to top of seat cushion.
