John Day River Philippi Park

I urge everyone to Google Opel foundation reopening of Philippi Park. Three years ago the Corps of Engineers closed this park. The Opel foundation is a nonprofit organization that is spearheading the repairing, cleanup and reopening of the park. This park is only accessible by boat. It's located approximately 4 miles up from the mouth of the John Day River off of the Columbia River. It has nice docks, tent camping on grass and bathrooms with showers. I urge anybody that can, please come and help, we could use all of the hands we can get. We are planning on working every weekend from now until the week before Memorial Day. Official opening day of the park will be Memorial Day weekend. Please pass the word.Attachment 17046
