2-Part Question??
1st question is I will need 3-amp kits for wiring them up. Wheres a good place to get these??
2-JL's and a PPI.
Im still a little confused on the whole WHO has a transom remote and will it work with any head unit. Heres what I want to do. I have a new JVC head unit but will sell it to buy another that will work with a transom remote. Which ones?? I will be also installing a Krypt/4200. Any ideas?? Thanks for your help. Jet

I can't believe KG and Dusty have gone almost an hour without jumping all over these questions for you. They must be off to lunch : )

I wouldn't use an amp kit get just buy some power wire. darvex.com has good prices on power and ground wire by the foot. Using a distribution block will clean up the wiring a ton. Here's how you could do it. The only thing I am unsure of is where you should put your fuse or if you should use a fused distribution block. I've been getting real creative with paint diagrams lately:cool:

They make distribution blocks that are fused and do both power and ground.
Dusty should be able to drop his wiring diagram on here from when we did it. I did a quick scan on Moomba and did not spot it.

I'm interested to see Dusty's diagram then, I'm planning on going to a dual battery set up once I get the boat out of storage and start tackling projects and most of this stuff is over my head...

Lemme find it. Jet, you know how to find me bud.

Here is the best I an do. Hopefully it will help. For the record, obv. there are all kinds of ways to do it, but this was my route. Tons has changed since the entire system was redone, but this is how it was all based.
Dual JL amps plus 4 channel

2 Stereo Batt and one crank bat setup (I have 4 total now)

How the dual hybrid is wired now

Any of that help you out?

What KG said, BAM. Great stuff, getting so excited to start tearing things apart.
I'm going to keep grilling you about this and hijacking Jet's thread - I'm interested in cost. I'm looking to move to a dual battery setup. I will want one battery to power my two amps - one of which powers 6 speakers, and the other powers the sub. From looking at the picture above I should get a distribution block, the VSR, possibly the dual charger and BEP switch? Not really sure what those last two are for. Just by glancing at that what would a rough estimate on cost be?

Its a little vauge?? Can you go over that again? LOL. No thats great info there but it dosn't hit my question about the wired transom remotes and head units??
