I agree with brack. drain the bowls on your carb. since water is heavier than fuel itll settle at the bottom of the bowls. Itll start fine, then once you shake up your bowls, here comes the water and...
I dont know man. When I was having that problem all I did was swap out the starter (autozone 1985 F-250 truck) and ran new thicker battery cables. Im not saying the cables fixed the problem, but it...
Brack, you need to check out San Bernard River. Smooth and pretty damn wide. Where do you usually go?
Well good luck. Maybe ill see you on the water sometime later this season.
Oh damn, is your boat ready for the water yet? My boat will be full.
Ya I heard the same thing about Lake Houston. I live off hwy6 and 288 in south Houston, so the San Bernard is very convenient. I'm heading out there Sat morning if your interested.
I'm pretty sure its a starter issue. My 85 comp did the same damn thing. I replaced the starter,(20 minutes) and have not had a problem since.
I think Rick is on the right track. Also check for exhaust leaks around the manifolds. Exhaust leaks under the hood can choke out your engine. While at cruising speed you are pulling in fresh air....
When my impeller went out, most of the blades plugged up the exit side of the water pump and wouldnt allow water to pass. I put a water hose right at the filter for the water pick up and nothing...
Mine held water all day and the boat was dry inside when i pulled it off. The only reason it filled up with water was cause i didnt put that pole up in the rear of the boat to raise the back of the...
Alright ill keep my eyes open. Thanks Scott
Im looking for an inexpensive tower rack for my wake board and wake skate. I hate to sound cheap but i just cant see spending a couple hundred bucks on something so simple.
BEAUTIFUL boat
Where is your gas tank vent located. On most of the old supras the vent is located in the rear way to close to the water. Backing off the trailer or having alot of people in the boat can put the vent...
I just bought a bover cover from Bass Pro and it definitely keeps the water out. It comes with a bar that you prop up in the rear of the boat to make it so you dont have any low spots that can hold...
Awesome, I appreciate all of the help. I'll probably head out to Somerville this weekend. Last weekend I took her out to the San Bernard river in Lake Jackson. Awesome water, very wide, and not a...
Im new to the Houston area and im trying to find somwhere to ski. If anyone is familiar with the Houston Texas area I need help. I would like to find somewhere between here and College Station. But...
Thanks for clearing that one up.
Alright. Well mines a 1985 supra ts6m comp?...... re built the floor, new hei distributor, plugs, wires, tower, rebuilt trans. I was having an issue with water in my fuel. I Re-mounted my gas tank...
I have a stupid question. It makes me feel retarded even asking it, but what is the difference between a comp and a ts6m.
I put a second back up bilge with a float in mine and was terrified to screw into the hull, so used an epoxy and it has worked well so far.
I think your heading in the right direction. I would go ahead and replace your fuel line all together. Its an inexpensive and fairly easy swap. Also if you have an exhaust leak, it may still vapor...
Hello everyone. This is my first post. I have been reading up on everyones thoughts over the past couple of months and I am very impressed with the knowledge that everyone has on Supra boats. I...
