Thanks very much for the info. Mine has a 13x12 Acme. Haven't done any WOT runs yet to see where it is. I do know that in reverse the stern is going to pull to starboard no matter what you do with...
Does anyone know the original prop size that came with the PCM454 on this year and model?
Perfect! Thanks to those who responded!
I was looking at the boat yesterday and wondering if that would work. Thank you so much for the response. That's exactly what I'll do!
Your picture scared the stuffing out of me till I figured out what was going on! Still scares me! Did you have the cap off at the time of the lift?
I think I'd go through the hole in the hatch and pick straight up. The stern has the lifting eye so I should be able to lift the boat in a horizontally level attitude.
The boat has to come off the trailer for a minor repair to the hull. There is no bow lifting eye, but under the front hatch, where I assume you'd stow an anchor, there is a 3-4" diameter hole to...
Many thanks. My previous boat was a 1954 Chris Craft and I stood in the water and floated the boat up to the bow stop while someone held the mooring lines. Doesn't sound like that will work here...
I'll certainly try that. I was asking if at that point you can just float the boat onto the trailer and winch it to the stop, or do most drive it on?
Do you then winch the boat to the bow stop or float it?
I'll give that a try. Thank you.
I'm having a bit of a problem when retrieving the boat. The bow wants to come in under the V-stop. I can see where this has apparently happened to the previous owners. Am I not getting the trailer...
I think the plate will be fine once I replace the adjuster (one was bent). Found something I think will work when I googled sailboat rigging tensioner! Thanks for the help!
That's cavitation plate!
Is it possible to buy a new cavitation plate for my 1989 Saltare, along with the adjusters?
Do the pre 1990 Sunsports handle chop well, or is the ride rough on all but smooth water? Thank you.
I passed on this one. Didn't realize how big a 23' boat was compared to my 20' Chris Craft. Not for navigating the boat on the water, but more launch, retrieval, etc. My wife and I are both in our...
Thanks for the additional info. I was pretty much convinced about the boat before your initial reply and you've confirmed it. I'll check the vinyl and the glass. I was a bit concerned about the...
Finally figured out how to reply! Thanks so much for the input and quick response. Was told it was a Cleveland but I defer to your knowledge and experience.
Have an opportunity to purchase this boat. Haven't seen it yet. Is there anything I should particularly be aware of? 351C with 600 hours.
Thank you
