Are you talking about the throttle assembly next to the driver's seat? Or the throttle linkage on the engine?

I hope your comp is treating you well. I have the same boat/engine in an 85.
I live in WI and boat into November. If you don't plan on boating after it starts to freeze at night follow the tips...
It was a marine fuel pump
The new one works like a charm. I guess I just got a bad one.
What is your top end on that beast?
I have an 85 Ts6M and have been pretty satisfied.
The only downfalls are the Top end (40mph with water temps in the 70s) and the floor.
All of us with older Supras know how poor the drainage...
Pump #3 works like a charm. Looks like my replacement pump from the auto store was made on a Monday or Friday. Thankfully it comes with a 1yr warranty.
FYI- There was no fuel in the sight tube....

I replaced the bad fuel pump yesterday. After installing the new one it ran great in the driveway for about 5 minutes. I decided to venture to the lake to do some skiing. After launching...
I have a 85 Supra TS6M Comp with the 351 (for those who were wondering). The pump is mechanical, not electric.

It worked fine for the majority of the day and then all of a sudden while i was being pulled on a...
I have a 85 comp with the same engine. When this problem happened in my boat It turned out to be a bad oill cap gasket. Make sure you check this out before you change your oil sending unit.
I would also recommend checking a local trailer shop. Often times they have the same lights as a marine outlet at cheaper prices. They also know more about trailer lights than west marine people.
Sounds like a good time. Anyone ever been there before? How may people usually show up for the event?

I'm curious what kind of props you TS6M owners are using and what kinds of speeds your getting.
I have a 3 blade Michigan prop 13X13 with a bore of .080
I saw 41 MPH. After refurbishment it's...
I'm from the Madcity.
The Weeds are crazy around here this year. How are things to the east/south
That pole is a pain in the ass to remove. I tried to pull mine this winter to re-enfore the floor around it with fiberglass. Never got it out -yet. I will wait until I need to replace the floor and...
Some blower motors on the comps are under the rear seat. To access simply remove the cushions and remover the 4 screws that mount the seat to the floor. The seat will slide forward and lift strait...
I also went through skidim. Fast shipping and great products!
I have an 85 Comp and had a similar problem. Here's the fix:
New distributor

When rebuilding the carb I found that both the Power valve and secondary diaphram was shot. MAKE SURE...
We will get this boat going 38!
To check the throttle you don't need to run the engine. You can do it Right NOw. Get in your boat and remove the engine cover. Place the throttle in the wide open...
Dinoz,
There are a ton of factors that go into getting a high top end out of your boat. I have the same boat, except mine is 4 years older. When I bought the boat it only went 38. With some...
Does this stuff work well on vinyl?
Do you know if these dimensions will fit an 85 TS6M comp?

It sounds like you get a fair amount of use out of your boat. Be sure to inspect the bunkers themselves to make sure that the wood isn't softening up on you. If this is the case you will need to...
