I talked with Acme again last evening. A strict power prop for my boat they maintained the 1868 for heavy ballast wake-boarding and bagged boat for surfing. A good all around prop they said to use...
What resolution was that video shot at on your playsport?
Not yet ;). Future plans are to surf my rig. I'll call them again and see what they say on that 1868. They did say it's a new prop they came up with. I don't remember the specifics other than they...
Appears I needed to read your original post better... oops.
Weird. Our boats are the same and Acme suggested different props? Huh?
Did you try contacting Acme directly? I did and they gave me these two suggestions. Speed/Slalom/Barefoot > 422; 12.5-15.5 or Power/Wake/Surf > 1868; 12.5-14.25. The both where four blades. The...
Wow, does that sound familiar! Except my habits are a boat and a snowmobile. ;)
That's bad ass! Nice job! I was wondering how hard it would be to make one of those. I'd assume a beginner rider shouldn't attempt this? Are these boards pretty fragile?
rudder > I have play in mine as well. I think you have to lift up on it and make sure the unit is snug against the the thru-hull and then tighten down the first nut into the packing then the locking...
Whoa wait... what? Seriously? That blows for me an my 1990 SS. His failed after 20 years of service too, seems odd to me that it would have lasted that long if it was a "bad batch issue" and it...
Awesome! Love the colors and the window tint is a great touch! Leave the rear seat out and make a rear deck like jet, maybe?
Ditto! I haven't seen a "fresh water only" boat with anodes on her gear.
Supposedly you are supposed to choose a winch that has a capacity rating of at least half the combined weight of your boat, motor, and gear.
I just to replace mine and I was looking at the fancy...
I have an old school Garmin 76CS Map GPS. They don't make it any more but it works fine. I also have their U.S. nautical maps CD's for downloading to it. This has saved my bacon when on a...
So are the v-drive more of a PITA like I/O's in the shallows? Not friendly for shallow water starts?
I just did a quick search on my local community colleges and several offer classes. For example.
I may be redoing a couple of components in my boat's upholstery someday myself. If I have the...
Wow, you had done all that upholstery work yourself! First time?
Also, do I spy an extension you had built onto your garage door? Nice idea!
That there is an awesome deal!
Ditto, I like that tower! Does the '94 have side widows that pop open? If so, can you still open them with this tower on?
I'm confused... I thought direct drives and v-drives were both considered "inboards"?
What about a small grease spot in the carpet? Does it work on that?
On mine, yes the Stern light is supposed to be on when the "Nav" switch is on. When the "Anc" switch is on only the Pole light is supposed to turn on, reserved for when your on anchor in the water...
My 1990 SS has the front Nav (Red/Green) light, a mid-ship pole clear light mounted just in front of the window and a stern/transom clear light. see attached.
Sooooo true!
I'm pretty sure we have the same board, Loadup. I could never get that damn thing to stop from porpoising. It was annoying.
I do a lot of duck hunting and the waters we hunt can be down right treacherous. You really should know the water and the lay of the land/shore line and underwater surprises before you head out. ...
