No recent updates YET. I got side tracked by work and work related travel. Besides, our epic drought here in Central Texas (Lake Travis) has left all of our launch ramps high and dry.

The rear crankshaft seal and/or timing cover seals are potential areas of leakage. Lucky it would be if it's the timing cover area. No pully the motor.

Hello Scarecrow.
Several options avail. on the stringer material. Be careful on the treated stuff. It is usually wet from the suppliers so you have to let it dry thoroughly or risk a poor bond....
Looks good Lively. Skidm for your prop shaft bellows and rudder parts.

[QUOTE=wotan2525;63415]Odd... That one doesn't even show up on their site.
You're right. Thats weird. I double checked my receipt and the #'s were right. ??????
Nice clean job. Looks great Mike.

BTW mine is 87 Salt. 454 LH.
Yeah Jet. Points suck. And then there were the dual points days. Whew.
RE: Old VS. New

Idle surge can be the result of a lot of things but you may want to look for a vacuum leak.

Will keep on the lookout up here in the Texas Hill Country for you a boat. Where are are you gonna use the boat? Salt water? I lived in Corpus Christi for most of my adult life.

Lively,
A-frame is looking good. Looks like you have a substatial cross beam laying on the ground. I couldn't believe how heavy my big block and transmission were. I think I used 2 2x10's with a...
The 90 model might not be a bad deal if they did a proper stringer/floor job and the motor is good. But the other one with the soft floor....well I think we all know what that means.
Loadup,
Sounds like you may be starving for fuel under a load. Did you set your float levels when you rebuilt the carburetor?
Hey Lively,
Maybe you could start a rebuild thread. Looks like we're stuck in a velvet drive rebuild thread. You could probably get a lot more info and advice in a new thread.
