Start with fuses and go from there.
There weren’t any in the parts boat. The OP may still have them.
Thanks, just clicked Join.
I figured out what was causing it, very simple, orange wire that goes to bolt meter, I some how managed to stick it on the ground side. However if anyone has a good diagram it would be appreciated.

What is the Facebook group?
I am very thankful for a member here emailing me a PDF scan of a manual, however, does anyone have an original one that can send or post a more legible photo of the gauges/console wiring diagram in...
Good find! That would have been like chasing a ghost, you got lucky!
Perhaps your gauge/ fuel sending unit or your float isn’t working properly. You may have some trash in the tank as well.
That means you’re not getting power through to the primary side of the coil. You need to trace those wires and test for continuity along the way. Might be as simple as a blown fuse somewhere, but...
I’m not sure where you live, but Academy sporting goods carries some 3M sealants.
I’ve got a 86 SunSport out in the yard a member here gave up on. I am just using it for parts.
My floor in my 85 has some soft spots too, and I’m praying and hoping for the best, but after talking...
There are kits you can buy to put inside the stock distributor to convert it and replace the points and condenser. Pertronics and Accelerate make those kits I believe, or you can buy a GM HEI style...
Where are you located? I have an engine (albeit a bit grungy) out of my 85 Sun sport. Its the 351W. I’m not for sure when, but the block at least (maybe the heads too) was at one point a reman, and I...
Good looking boat!
Definitely a points and condenser, but you can upgrade the internals of that distributor to an electronic system for about $100 or so.
I ended up buying his whole boat as a parts boat for mine.
I will/ do have some spare pieces.
10 years! Wow! That sounds worth the investment in time right there!
I know I am new here, but I am having this same issue also.

I was hoping there would be a way to coat or encapsulate the teak in a sealer or epoxy resin to keep it beautiful and weather resistant forever. Does such a thing exist?
Any tips on the teak? Most is good enough to try to re-finish, but the swim deck is going to need some work.
Never run out of things to fix huh? I already have a Jeeping, and off road racing addiction. Sounds like I should be planning bankruptcy soon.
Haha
Good afternoon all.
Today I picked up a little bit of a project. It’s not perfect, although I think it’s in pretty good shape for being 32 years old. There’s some piping on the vinyl trim that’s...
