Lookup how to align the propshaft. It should be done every couple of years. It takes about 30 mins with some feeler gauges. If its really out of whack, maybe an hour tops...
Also, dumb question...
Also dont forget your grounds! Make sure those are clean as well

Neutral position switch on the trans. Try jiggling the shifter forward or reverse when trying to start.
You may need to adjust the cable, or replace the switch.

15-40 rotella or delo. Change it every year. I usually go two changes to one high quality filter. (I run about 50 hours a year, not enough to come close to using up the filter media)
Marine...
I cut the 45 first, then stuck it in a vice with some towels and cranked away. It was tough since it wanted to keep slipping out, but I just kept some pressure on it to keep it in the jaws

A couple more pictures of the build.. fwiw the one support is more than sufficient. With the t bolt clamps, even pulling on it as hard as i could with no support wouldnt make it budge.

I made one for my Ski Brendella. Its 4" .060 thick stainless exhaust tubing thats tig welded. The couplers are just a...
Double check the fuel screws. Should be about 1.25 turns back from fully seated.
If too rich, it'll run rough at idle. I had the same problem with my boat till I readjusted the screws and idle

X2. Unless youre running 8 people in the boat with those bags, weight up!

How os it when under way? Is it still half out of the water?
If you could get it lower, it would make the pocket longer but take away push/height

Seriously good work. Yoi did better than the professional that did my rear seat. The seam on mine is not flat 😐

You just have to experiment. Further from the back corner of the boat delays the water less. Towards the back corner delays it more.
Since youre a big boat, try as close to the back corner as you...
Honestly, if you want the absolute best, experiment. It has nothing to do with the shape of thr device. It also has nothing to do with where its placed (kind of, I'll get back to this statement). All...
No, theres a separate fuse for just trailer lights.
Regardless, just grab a volt meter and start diagnosing. Without one, any guess is a shot into the dark. It could be a number of things...

Idle screws sound very far out. Id try 1.5 turns out from seated on both and go from there.
Double check float height. Its dead nuts easy on those.

Hm. How many turns out on your fuel screws? Float height set?

Dayum, thats clean. Much better than the guy who did my back seat.
Got a brief overview on how you did it?

Has the compression been tested?
Fresh fuel or are you certain the fuel is ok?

This.
Pull the cable off, make sure the lever is in the neutral detent, then adjust the cable so when the lever is in neutral, the transmission arm lever is in neutral. Verify both in forward and...
I just take the hose off the impeller housing. Then i have a old car heater hose that slips onto the housing. On the other end is a plastic hose adapter that you can find at any hardware store.
...
Only thing I can think of off the top of my head to check for is a smooth impeller housing, and a stiff intake hose (it could be collapsing under higher speeds)

What every boat manuf recommends...
A thick oil, 15w40 or thicker like a 20w50. But since its easier and cheaper to find, rotella 15w40, mobil1 15w40.......
Reason being a boat engine sees much...
Thats a very thin oil for any boat motor. Dont focus on one thing And leave out the rest ;)
Rotella dino here. Delo is also another good one to run. Nice thing is theyre cheap at Walmart
