Just FYI in case anyone needs this in the future. The outside diameter is 2 3/8” on the XTP tower.

 I think I’ve gotta try it! Lol
@turbinesurgeon. So where do I get the brackets I would need for my 08 22V Sunsport? Just to raise it a bit, like you said before.
Thanks. That’s pretty fast for me, but as I am experimenting with this rope length stuff getting shorter than a 75’, speeds may change too.
Thanks dndsam!
I had a similar bog in my 2008 a few years ago with only about 200 hours on it. It was literally dirty/corroded contacts in the cap and rotor. I took it off and cleaned them up with a green scotch...
I love that new platform! Nice work. With the different angled brackets you can get, could I just change the angle of my stock platform to help with the surf wave, or would that look weird then? ...
I have a 2008 Sunsport 22V with the XTP tower. Anyone know the diameter of the tower Tubes? I want to buy a surf rack, but am unsure if it is under 2" or over 2", and that seems to be the cutoff for...
I will definitely try a shorter length. When you say 26’ OFF, or 22’ OFF, that literally means a 22 foot rope though right?
Hey everyone, I ski at about 32 MPH, but am usually on a 75' rope. I am an aggressive skier, but by no means a pro or anything. What length of rope do you all use?
Since this is a threat regarding towers, thought I would throw this out there rather than start a new thread. I have a 2008 Sunsport 22V with the XTP tower. Anyone know the diameter of that tower? ...
Sweet, thanks for the info.
Are those blue tooth modules very pricey? Hard to install?
I read on line that they recommend changing these out at 30,000 miles in vehicles for this motor. Not sure what that equates to in boat hours, but that's more regular than I expected. Good to know...
Crazy! The boat service shop quoted me like $90! Go figure.
Yes, welcome! I love my 08'
I just went through this as well, was discussing it in another thread. My cap was barely corroded, but intermittently was missing. I changed plugs too, but with only 170 hours, I can't imagine it...
Port injection I think. I changed the plugs, put some fuel stabilizer/water remover in, and pulled the cap and rotor and cleaned it up a bit. Very small amount of corrosion on the electrode posts,...
Do you have a picture for a visual?
Sounds good I will give it a try. The challenge is that at this point it does it so randomly it might be hard to consistently find. Thanks again!
If I have a standard volt meter how do I test each one while running? Pull and test from the cap? Or the plug end? Do you know what each wire should test at? Appreciate the help! Thanks
Wires, all boots and writes look good visually. I'm hoping not electrical, but who knows. I guess I'll start with the plugs and go from there. Thanks
Anyone have this type of issue with a boat like mine? 08 22V. I seem to have a cylinder that will miss, but sporadically. It will come out of it when cruising down the lake, then it will go back a...
I too only just drain...no antifreeze, did it for years with my Wellcraft I/O and now my Supra...never had an issue and I live where we get a good solid week of -20 F weather.
I miss the boom, that is how I learned to barefoot. So much easier than deep water starts! Nice work!
