I can't get the drain plug and the knock sensor to go back into their holes. I stripped out the brass drain plug and...
Fman, don't forget to drain your v-drive...the link to the Moomba post above is awesome and will show pics of the v-drive.

I've got an 02 Sunsprt. My water intake comes though the floor, then though the V-Drive, then though about a 10-12 inch tube, which is the tranny cooler. The v-drive and this cooler will have water...
Hey McDye...great idea on the paint can openers. I really never thought of that...I struggled with getting my impellor out this year too....had to borrow a puller from a friend to get it out....just...
Just thought I would share this link from the Moomba chat rooms. It took me awhile to find it, but it one of the best posts I have found regarding winterizing an Indmar engine. Really helped me out...
I winterized my boat for the first time this year and learned all sorts of little tricks. One of them was(and this may be obvious to some of you...but, it wasn't to me...) to kill the engine...
Thanks Doc, I've looked at scematic and you're right, the chamber is actally very shallow. I think alot of the water would pour out just by taking the hoses off. Good idea on the shop vac...I...
I've done a full winterization on my boat for the first time ever. Only question I have is about draining the water out of the Walter V-Drive...I took both the in and out hoses off and drained them....
FMan, just got done with a wboard run on near glass...typing in a wet suit! Glad to hear the toilet shims worked for you.

I think you are right. I just did a trans service myself...it hadn't been done in 5 years, and it seems it is quieter. Trans is real quiet with the back seat al the way back...So, I'm done freakin'...
Should be no problem getting them out. You should be able to just grab them with a pliers and pull em out.
Thanks Tech. Fish
Not a lot of planning went into this fix...I opened a few drawers of my toolbox and saw those toilet shims...family was waiting for me at the boat so I went down and just pressed them in with thumb...
When I started wakeboarding I caught the front edge real bad and everyone in the boat was saying, "do that again, you're doing awesome"...I did it again alright...another whiplash faceplant...I...
I gotcha Todd. I guess you could drill a second set of hole, but at least on my boat, you would still have a metal on metal connection...any play at all will probably make some noise. I'm going...
ok, if thunbnail doesn't open when you click on it...right click and then click open link. That should work.

the thumbnail on previous post did not work so here's another one of the shim
Ok, here a pick of a cleat without the toilet shim and on with the shim.
I think if there was some hard rubber with adhesiive back that you could stick in the gap it would be perfect. I think...
I'm back. Last time I was in the boat I took some toilet shims with me...they are wedge shaped and use under toilets to level them out. They also have little grooves cut in them. Kids wanted to...
I've been boarding 5 years...I really think the length of the rope has to do with your skill level and what kind of tricks you are doing. A shorter rope to start a move is better...then give...
Just finished the trans fluid change. I went and bought a $20 transfer pump at Carquest. it worked great. My son pumped while I moved the small hose around to find the fluid...pumped it into milk...
Good job on the trans job Fman. I was just reading my zf manual last night and I'm going to attempt to do the fluid change. As you probably know, the maunal recommends remmoving the filter cover...
Thanks a lot! I'm definitely trusting the info on this bb more than my local dealer. I have never been into boat repairs/maintainence before...and since I've joined the board, I'm totally into...
