If it is the same as the '95 had, you need to pul the tank forward to get the sending unit out. I was able to repair mine, it was a printed circuit card and some of the tracks had eroded right off...
If cost is critical look into vocational schools that teach upholstering. They need projects to train on. They may do great work or you may get what you pay for....
I found that plastic shims, cut to fit in the bracket base, helped a lot, as well as the larger SS bolts mentioned earlier. For shim stock, I used an empty margerine tub, & cut with scissors to fit....
Accelerator pump. You aren't getting enough fuel when you hit the throttle. The rapid vacuum drop causes a sudden lean situation, the accelerator pump is supposed to compensate for it. A Holly jock...
Carquest 86299 fuel filter is what you need.
According to your first post, the problem moves with the connection to the injectors. Sounds like the output of the ECM is bad. If the connectors look good, I'm afraid you need a new control module...
Regarding the voiding the warranty question - not if you do it right. Now on the other hand, if you miss some water & it freezes, no manufacturer's warranty would cover that. Just follow the manual's...
4800 RPM should be getting you more than 32MPH, more llike high 30's or low 40's. Is that a 13X13 prop?
Amen, I sold a '95 Ts6m & bought a '06 Launch, GIANT step backwards. Now my boat sits while I ski behind my buddy's '07 Malibu LXI. Absolutly no comparison! Supra, buils a SKI boat again, please.
They stink. Mine broke almost immediately on my '06
Smell your oil. It isn't uncommon for raw fuel to run down the intake when the engine if not running, and dilute the oil. The fix is to adjust the float level in the carburetor. Be very suspicious if...
It sounds like you may be overdue for steering cable.
I believe all Supras have standard rotation engines, i.e. clockwise, viewed from the front. It is those CC boats that have the odd engines that run backwards!
Be careful with older trailers. I once noticed a rust spot on a 12 year old painted trailer. Turned out it was rusting from the inside, but still looked good on the outside. It was so rusted from...
The jam nut is to the rear, closer to the propeller end on the shaft.
Rust through might br the real danger with thin filter cans
I can't say for sure that yours s the same, but my 95 Comp had packing on the rudder shaft, exactly like the drive shaft. Just get both sizes from SKIDIM of their dripless packing & one should fit....
It looks like you need a cable....
Once water gets in it, hours on the engine are irrelevant.
The local radiator shop is your best bet, many boats use a core from a Ford truck.
It sounds like your heater froze up over the winter. It is just a small radiator, if it freezes, water will pour out the cracks, just as you describe.
That sounds normal to me. My Comp rudder moved up & down, & all direct drives have the rudder offset to my knowledge.
I started at the top, so gravity was my friend. I tied a length of chalkline to a piece of a plastic grocery bag, pushed it in the hole along with most of the string, using a pencil, and nudged it in...
I ran wires through my tower using compressed air to blow a plastic bag tied to a string. The hole in mine was about 3/8" diameter. I was amazed at how well it worked, took only a few seconds to blow...
You may be low on fluid. Have you seen any sign of ATF in your bilge? (hint, it's red/pink colored) My '06 Launch leaked down in a couple months, left a redish slime in the bilge. I fixed the loose...
