Great shot Chrisk! I'd be interested in following a slalom thread, but don't know how much I could contribute. My course days are mostly behind me & my stick is still a Jobe SCO1. Obviously from...

Safe travels down. I'm still figuring out how/when/who to be there Saturday...
Yep, it pays to buy in bulk...
Woohoo - we won! (although I didn't even know we were playing) The head pyromaniac submitted our video to a contest that our wholesaler was running & we just received the following:

US Composites is a reliable source and price competitive. Of course, now you get into the whole epoxy vs polyester, matt vs cloth debates. Consensus is that epoxy will stick to epoxy and poly, but...
Welcome back of sorts. I second Wotan's comments:
1. The top cap should have kept the hull from flexing while replacing the stringers
2. I did split the cap and replaced everything underneath,...
Old dudes + old boats + family + friends = a priceless combination. Looks like great times - definitely what it's all about! Thanks for sharing...
You & Cody go ahead and reach around & pat yourselves on the back while your at it (patting each other's would just be wrong). Thanks for pulling all these resources together to make such a great...
Just an FYI on the light output. Water absorbs light preferentially based on wavelength - reds and yellows are first with blues being last. So a higher output red may not throw light any farther...
This thread might help?

Some great shots, for sure. Keep posting them up so I can live vicariously through your fun.
It was all good on the Trinity River two weekends ago - no traffic (only 4 tow boats & a few toons &...
can't get pictures to work again?
I put in at Bethy Creek on Sunday & conditions are looking great for the Jam. Water level is up, jungle cut is open, & river is clear of debris...
Everything's bigger in Texas, right? My pyro neighbor started really getting into the fireworks & now several of us help support his habit...
Not too shabby for a backyard shindig. In addition...
Sounds great! I'm in again this year - just don't know what days yet...
I'm still learning the surf stuff as well. The MOST I've run so far was 2 x 400's under the playpen, 1 x 400 in the rear locker (yes, it's reinforced), 2 x 450's under the modified rear bench area,...
My 89 originally had 3" all around.
Thanks for conjuring up old memories - glad it was a no-cost situation. Lockout switches can be embarrassing for sure. Way back in the early 80's my high school buddy had to hike to the nearest...
My God Spock - did he say tractor beam? That's how it all began for me back on stardate 10/11/09...

I had the same style of tiller arm & never could get it off - could spin the tiller 360 but wouldn't come off the top of the rudder shaft. I eventually cut it off at the shaft (which turned out to...
Good for you - make it the way you want. I changed up the layout in my Salt & works great for our uses. Hope yours is as functional for your needs. You'll probably be listing fairly heavy to...
Both are pretty easy jobs. Be careful when you pull the cable end from the helm - it'll be a greasy mess. Hard to say if the helm is bad, but a new one may have a different mounting bolt pattern...
Grogger - I don't have a good pic handy, but simply took a piece of aluminum tubing (~3/4-1" dia?), cut it to length to form close to a 45 degree angle from the outer edge of the fender to a good...
I still love my 541 - no problem holding 10mph surf speed with 3K lbs of ballast and people & can still run mid 40's.
Hey Grog - first off, looking real nice. Also just a suggestion - I don't know if I missed it in your trailer update thread, but if those new fenders are aluminum you may need to add a brace between...
