I didn't have hoses hooked backwards,I had the pump turned upside down.It took me a while and a lot of frustration to figure that out.Check inside pump for a burr or anything that could be eating up...

Floor pan for what? I would think one could be made from fiberglss.

Are you talking the pan goes uder the drivers feet?I would think one could be fabricated out of fiberglass,or just fill in the pan hole and be level with the deck. Good luck

Make sure cover well vented.I sponge out the bilge,wipe the seats and leave them open.When real wet I leave a small fan running to circulate the air.
For the winter leave mothballs to keep out...

I am afraid your right. My understanding is there is nothing to rot under there so for now I'll keep using it and this winter tackle the job.
