You guys really know your boats (apparently a lot better than me). The hull identification number reveals that the boat is a 1985.
It is registered as a 1986 as that's what comes up when the DNR sent me my registration; however, if there is a way to tell for sure (i.e., HIN) I'd be glad to check and confirm.
sold boat. thanks
Welcome to the family jaynick! Looks like we have a little GA family in the works; we need to get everyone together for a day on Lanier! Post some more pictures when you get some time. I'm sure we'd...
Great looking boat. I've got an '86 comp the same colors. I just added the Aerial Airborne as well! Shoot me a PM with a cost to do a wrap. It should be identical to the dimensions of your boat.

Michael - Are you on Lanier? I'm in Oakwood...we need to get a group of old school Supra's together!
Looks great! Welcome to the Comp family!
Thanks man! I started on it Monday, but came down with a virus and havent had a chance to get back in the garage to work on it. A few more layers of glass and chop mat and it should be sturdy enough...
What is this key fob type that you speak of?
Absolutely not. This looks a lot bigger than it actually is. The back side is taped off in order to keep the resin from running into the "cubby". Once everything dries I will trim it and pre-fit the...
And it would wire up with a Kenwood headunit?
Nevermind. I found exactly what I was looking for: A Kenwood Kca-Rc107Mr Wired Marine LCD Remote with Ipx7 Protection
...
That's exactly the information that I needed! Thanks Dtha!

Once I get all of the cracks repaired and the cubby built, trimmed and sanded I will obviously need to repaint the entire glove box. A new piece of Plexiglass will accompany the top as well.

Ok so here's the update:
I have removed the glovebox where the radio was "mounted". I have started to fiberglass a cubby that I can mount the radio into. I've played with fiberglass a time or two...
The price of these bimini tops is definitely controlled by color. The difference between an aqua/teal and black was over $140.00! I'm sure I could take the teal bimini to an upholstery shop and have...
Looks great! I am mainly trying to see where I need to be measuring from. Anyone have experience with the collousus tower by wake design?
No that's on the other side. I'm referring to the port (left) side.
Thoughts?

Look back at his first picture...
On the left side of his boat, under the rub rail (almost directly in the back left corner of the boat) there is some sort of little connector that unscrews.
...
Can you post pictures of them?
Thanks,
-Adam
Fox - In your first picture, just under the rub rail on the far port side there is a little connector. What is it? I cant seem to figure out what it is used for.

I'm looking at different towers for my '86 Comp and have only one question: What size am I looking for? Are they all universal or boat specific? I'd like to measure so I know exactly; however, I'm...
I didn't even realize there was a boat there until you said that. :D
