agree on the water in the fuel. Also you can install a inline water/fuel separator. they are pretty cheap, they have an oil filter like canister that can be changed out.

I had the same problem as you with a bad ground loop. I tried cleaning my grounds, ground loop isolator, rerun my wires and nothing worked. I have so many rca, speaker wires, and power wires runing...

Rotate the seat base a 1/8 turn, and then just drill new holes and remount. If it is wood like mine,just filled the screw holes with sylicone and screwed down.

You should test the switch first, I could be a linkage adjustment

what does your oil look like? any water in it? milky white? check your thermostat in a pot of water with a thermemeter to see if it is opening up

check your cap and rotor,plug wire condition, and also the gap on the plugs possibly. After that, the timing may have been messed with. I think you can adjust it by rotating the distributor...

Replaced with harbor freight L.E.D light kit, hopefully they will last awhile. Only $39 bucks, so not a big loss if they crap out. Going to change out the rest to L.E.D as they burn out.

To give you an idea of what kind of condition the stringers are in, just tap on them lightly with a hammer or the handle of a screw driver. If they sound hollow might want to take a closer look....

thanks for the comments. Yeah the cruiser is regeared for the 37" tires, definitely not speeding anywhere towing the boat, but it does the job.
