This might work for you instead of carpet. I use the same rubber mat material that comes stock on the swim platform. This is a picture of the floor in my 86, IMG_1204.JPGIMG_1205.JPGIMG_1206.JPG

thanks hagman i like that. is it just sea dek? laid over the carpet? Jet i left a message on your profile page but, i saw a while back you were looking for a ski pole for your comp i just pulled mine out while im doing the interior so i can make a new pice of wood to go over the hole. let me know if you want it

The carpet got pretty worn out after about 15 years. So I Remove the carpet and replaced it with rubber mat ,the same stuff that's on the swim platform. When I bought the boat my dealer had the drain hole plug. He said it was a good place for rot to start.

yea i know what they mean my whole pan and around it is all rotted out so its getting all cut out now and were gonna rebuild it all and fiber glass over the top of it so it will hopfully keep it from happening again. i guess i got kinda lucky because that is the only rot we found in striping it down all the floor was good and solid along with stringers> so i guess i souldnt complain to much
