Default 2007 Supra 24 SSV - How many hours is too much?

    Hello,

I am looking at a 2007 with a 340HP Indmar - it has 455 hours. Is this too many? How many hours before a motor needs replacing or major overhaul work?

    Thanks

    Ron

I sure hope that's not too many BC that's close to the number I have.

I think they say the average is 50 per year. I have put over 100 each of the 2 years I've owned mine.

If the motors are routinely maintenanced I believe they go well over 1000

455hr is not very many hours at all...I see them with 3000-4000 on them running like a clock...
It all depends on how well they are maintained....
    I have 240hr on my 2010 model...

I wouldnt have any issues buying a boat with 455 hrs on it....

I bought my 02 , two and half years ago and it had 487 hours. She runs fine ! Its like anything else mechanical, you have to maintain it. Ask the owner about service records and check the boat over really good. Is the oil Dirty. Tranny fluid smell NOT burned. Take your time in looking it over ! Its your investment , if you buy it. Good Luck on Boat buying

Just traded our 2008 Mobius LSV in with 540 hours and it ran like new and didn't burn a drop of oil between changes.
