    Default March Picture Thread

I just came back from a weekend trip to Lake Jocassee. We actually went there with some friends for the baptism of their two kids. It was a beautiful, quiet weekend with family and friends. We took the boats (Saltare and Legacy), and took some rides around the lake. This was the first real run for me after the work this winter and everything worked perfectly. It was a great weekend all the way around.

And here's a quick video of us running across the lake.

Yes, it's awesome. I now have a very solid, very dry boat. The only things I have to do now are cosmetic and it's not like it looks derelict right now anyway. I'm really looking forward to the summer!

Oh yeah. Just remembered. I do have a big trailer restoration planned. But let's focus on the boat... the boat is ready!

Damn, that sucks... I must echo everyone else that lives in the northern climates. My am just over 4 weeks away from picking the boat up from storage. It is supposed to be pushing 70 on Wednesday though. Who knows, maybe it's time for the first March water landing in the Amphib ever up this way...

That is what I have enjoyed about mine the last few summers...knowing she runs solid and worry free days on the lake.

Mine is torn apart trying to fix upholstery issues (WOM) and re-doing all the teak at the moment.
I had planned to do my trailer this year as well, but have opted for a trip to Alaska for 2 1/2 weeks this summer. Will budget the trailerfor next year as I celebrate the 30th anniversary from date of manufacture.
I thought about you as I trailered over Lake Allatoona this weekend. It looks like they're starting to bring the level back up, so you'll need to have her back together soon! Good call on delaying the trailer work. I'm sure it doesn't need a whole lot anyway.

That's not the type of March picture we were looking for! Sorry man.
