The other day my family and I were out on the lake and one bad storm hit really quick! As we tried to see through the driving rain, thats when the lightning started bouncing all around us. I can't tell you how weird it was when I thought about the huge lightning rod on top of my Supra Launch SS! We made it back to the marina safely, but we observe the weather conditions alot closer. Has anyone's tower ever been hit? Is the boat grounded?

Water is an excellent ground! Boats have been hit before and I can only think that the tower would make them more vunerable. Sometimes it is better just to get toward the bank and ride the storm out as opposed to making the run to the marina.
