    Default Carpet Install?

    What type of glue are yall using? And where are you finding it locally. I cant find petroleum (epa) glue anymore. Wont a water based glue come-un-glued later?? Thanks guys. Jet

    LOwes, has Henry's 442..... water clean up and has been stuck good for three yrs.... 1/8" or 3/16" V groove trowel or maybe it's 5/32" I can't remember...
    I glued in 2' increments working bow to stern and finish cutting the carpet as I went... Worked well and made it look like a boat again!!!!!!

    I used HHR contact cement (water/weather proof - used for convertible tops) for all the carpent in mine.

    I've used this for both carpet and trailer bunks. I've never had an issue.

    I used DAP Weldwood contact cement applied with a small roller. Got it all from Lowes

    Ok, went with the dap weldwood. Its still petro based and flammable and I like living on the edge! lol. Not sure why carpet glue cant be petro based anymore but your counter glue can be?? Thanks guys.
