    Default Gas Vent

1984 Supra Rider....Not sure if there is any solution to this issue...but thought I would ask if anyone else has had this problem and a possible solution. When my gas tank is full or I am doing a lot of turns the raw gas fumes become intense. My tank is vented to the gas vent on the side of the boat but I have never had a boat that the vapor smell is that strong. I checked to make sure the vent tube was till attached to the vent and it is. Are there new vents that may cut down on the smell?

Not really a big deal, but thought I would ask.

    thanks!!

I notice fumes from mine generally when I'm filling the tank and when it's full. I assumed that it's pretty normal. Have the fumes gotten worse?

Not sure about that one. On mine the problem was fuel coming out of the vent at analmost full tank. I installed a fuel/vapor seperator, I think its from Parker/Racor. Totally solved that problem, Now when almost full the fuel comes up the filler pipe! But check to make sure the vent is not clogged somehow or the hose is not kinked.
