Not comparing the Cortez to a high end board, I know it isn't one. But for the price I paid for it, the longevity it will have in it compared to a foam board, and the versatility it has (beginners and advanced), I feel like it does very well.

I know you wasn't lol. I should have said it different. What I meant is a board that is more of a surf board shape. I liked the Cortez til I road the LF Venture and other boards that had a surfboard feel. I have ocean surfed for 32yrs and the Cortez just didnt seem right. But you will get plenty of use out of it for sure. Have fun on it and don't mind my ramblings LMAO!

Until you get everything figured out get the cheapest, large board you can find then use the money saved on sacs. Your going to need then.
