speaker grill removal '03 suburban

do the door panels really need to come off to access the speakers on '03 suburban?

any tips/tricks? auto store has the panel tool?

It's been a while but I'm almost positive the panels do have to come off but they're not hard to remove. You shouldn't need a panel tool. They lift upwards after you get the screws out and the courtesy light and switches unplugged. There's probably a how-to YouTube video somewhere...
