Thread: Ignition switch

    Default Ignition switch

I think I have an ignition switch going out.. Sometimes it works sometimes not....Considering going to a push button instead of a key.. Does anyone have any comments about that idea?

i believe it's been discussed in here a couple times. I don't think it's very hard to do.

Its time consuming and costs a good amount of money for the conversion, not to mention if you did that it makes it easier for theft so you would want some type of fob in the boat so it wont start without it like in the new caddys

The push button sounds like a cool idea, and is on some older CC boats (my older Thompson had it). Although if I did the conversion, you need some type of kill switch for safety, last thing you would want is a kid or someone not knowing it and push the button.
