    Default question on fiberglass

    I am considering taking off my big air h20 tower and replace it with a big air big wave tower.. when i have the h20 tower removed what should i do with the holes from it?

    I would find some nice stainless carrage bolts to fill the holes. Look at the hotrod shops for the polished clean ones.

    I agree with that ^ idea...trying to match the gelcoat will be hard, but not impossible. You'd have to plug the hole from the backside and then fill with epoxy and then a layer of gelcoat. There are gelcoat matching kits, but this will be a lot of work to do nice.

    If you are able to get to the underside, I would use a plug called "oil tight hole seal" in stainless. You can get them in a variety of sizes from industrial electrical supply shops like Grainger. They are low profile and come with a rubber gasket and a wing nut and washer.
    I'm filling holes myself and gel coating...not much fun. Good luck.
