Bent 2 prongs on cable

I have an MB quart head unit and am using the Iphone direct connect cable. I had to reattach the cable and accidentally bent two of the prongs in the receiving cable dangling from the back of the head unit. Just curious, for multi-pronged connections like this, is it a big deal of a couple of them are bent over? Still seems to be working.

This is an example of the connector I'm talking about with 7 or 8 prongs in it.

My guess is that some of the prongs are for CD-changer style control. If your setup still works, who cares?
