    re dogs and Claws:
We have trained ours to jump into the boat only on the carpet.
He will not go on the upholstery unless we put a towel over it first!
Admitedly there have been a few times when he has forgotten his training put the vinyl showed no worse for wear after!

puppy nails are no big deal. old dog nails can be brutal on vinyl, carpet and feet too. my seats have gotten a few scrapes but no tears.

the black one loves the doghouse. the yellow usually runs around for the most part.

after a swim they'll both chill for a while but the yellow (female) will have to take a whiz. when she was a puppy she would squat on the swim platform, that was great. the male can last for hours without going.

My huskies loved the old boat, but they (dogs and boat) have since passed. My male would always bail over the side for a swim whenever the boat slowed - had to watch him close. Getting him back in was the challenge - he weighed 110 lbs dry & was a real load when wet. Our new Aussie is 2 & learning about boating. Loves the water, but still not too confident while under way.

Later this summer, the girls tried immersion therapy dog tubing.jpg
Now she's a responsible water sports activist & wears a life vest whenever behind the boat.

Great pics guys.... Supraadict, we used to have a Harlequin Dane as well. Wish I could find a pic on this computer. Best dog we have ever had and I can't wait for the day that we have another Dane. This is our boxer. Still a great dog, but not as easy going as the Dane. The Boxer is a mama's girl and my wife made her pose for this pic last week.... The one on the tube was from several years back in her younger days.

I tried softpaws when I first picked up our boat, but the dogs chewed them off in a matter of days. Others have said they work great so maybe you could have better luck. Knock on wood we have not any problems with the interior over the last 3 summers with two 70pound dogs running all over it.
