    Default Electronic ignition conversion

I picked up an Electronic ignition conversion kit from Skidim ~$150, and finally installed it yesterday. It took about 5 minutes. WOW, what a difference, and my points were not even that old. The throttle response was super crisp and it just seemed smoother across the whole RPM range. If you are on the fence, trust me its worth the ~$150.

Here are the kits available, I have an 1987 Sunsport with a 351 so I used the top one made by Mallory. But you can email Skidim and they are really responsive.

No worries! Just a guess here, but where did you ground it the ignition module? was the surface clean? did you put some dielectic grease on it? I grounded mine on the mount for the coil. Is the coil wire clear of other wires that might cause interference with the module? (I routed the ignition harness around the distributor to avoid any interference from coil or plug wires.

Sorry! I started a new thread and deleted my post (I guess at the same time you were typing your response). I'll copy and paste your response on the new thread. Thanks!
