Thunderstorm on the lake......

So who has been out there trying to out run mother nature. Go caught this weekend on lake St. Claire about 30 miles from the launch dock. Open water, clear and hardly a ripple turned into black wall of Lightning and wind. Decided to drive away from the storm and to shelter at a marina on the other side of the lake and ride out the storm.

Went for ice cream and candy with the kids (six of them in all) The ride home was slow, rough and grey ugly skies. Glad we ran the other way for the storm wipped around lots of signs and tossed a porta potty over. The other boaters at the marina said it was a wild one which came out of no where. All in all a great Saturday on the lake.

I don't know why, but I love those days.

Although with a giant aluminum tower on top of my boat, as my dad says to his friends.............."if you see my son hauling ass across the water, you know it's gonna storm".
