    Default High Idle??

Hey guys. Just started the engine for the first time since rebuild 1yr-1/2 ago (yes its been a long time, shut up! lol) and I have a 1900 rpm idle now. Engine warmed up and the choke cut off and I backed the idle out all the way but still had high idle?? What did I miss? Thanks Jet

And 2nd I have 2-glass filters and watching the gas flow thru the filters never filled 100%?? It just trickled at like 30% but engine ran fine..just a high idle? Only had 2-gals in the tank and engine only ran 10 mins.

What about with the throttle cable disconnected?

Jet, you still running the Holley carb? Did you try bumping the throttle a little and then returning to idle?

Is the throttle arm returning to rest on the throttle stop screw? If not, adjust your throttle linkage so it does. Ensure secondaries aren't sticking open. Check for vacuum leaks, this is most likely if it sat for almost two years. Gaskets and hoses may have dried out and cracked. Pending none of that, try adjusting (backing off) your throttle stop screw and see if it will come down to a normal idle RPM, then readjust your idle mixture once it is at a normal RPM. Should be around 700-750 RPM idle in neutral. Adjust if necessary for lowest smooth idle in gear.
