    Default Side Panels on Comp

I was thinking about removing the side panels on my Comp and cutting the fiberglass behind the panels and open it up for storage, drink holders, remount the speakers. Anyone tried this? Removing too much? Looks like a local fiberglass shop could mold a liner for me relatively cheaply and upholstry shop fabricate the trim ring.

I like the idea and have considered it myself. Here is a photo of my '89 with panels off and cap lifted. There is not a lot of room inside the gunnel and some foam may have to be removed. I hope this helps.DSC_0078 crp.jpg

By the way, the serial number is located on the right side just aft of my front speaker.
