ski pole gets warm???

This may sound a bit odd but my 2005 supra launch 21V ski pole get very warm to the touch even at night out of the sun. I think it may just be drawing heat from the engine but it stays warm for quite a while after its shut off. Am I correct about it heating up from the engine? It seems like that's all it could be. Thanks in advance.

my 2012 will get REAL hot.... don't think it will burn but hot enough to make you think it will

Ok. Thanks. It seems like its nothing to be alarmed about. Just needed some reassurance. After finally figuring out my vapor locking problem, i seem to be on high alert these days.
