So I had a brainstorm. Has anyone used one of those suction cup attachments on their waterski to mount a gopro camera. The mount says it will stay on up to 150 mph. I'm just worried that a hard fall will dislodge it

Buy the rear door float kit for it. It's bright orange so you can see it. If you clean the ski with denatured alcohol first, you can use the tape on base as well.

The float says it won't support the suction base ...

Get a foam noodle float and epoxy a Chung to the back door. I sit that with my old gopro and it would float with any oft handles and mounts.

the suction cup on the board is a bad idea. use the surf board sticky mount. even then I would be worried about a mount failure. I had one of my mount debris the outer day brake on me while I was tightening it down. they do fatigue. I'm sure the speed reading it for wind buffer not impact with water at any speed ( not that your going to fall our anything).

I've used the suction cup mount on my wakeboard. I used a small piece of stainless cable and made a tether to attach it to the bindings in case it decided to fall off. It has never fallen off even when I crashed, but I definitely wouldn't trust the suction cup alone.

Yeah that's what I was thinking. I was going to run a piece of thick fishing line through the binding laces then around the camera. How were the pictures. I tried it last week with a chest mount and it was pretty cool.

I got some really cool water spray shots when I faced it behind the board
