Gosh, we boat on the river, and are never off the water in time for breakfast...
For us, it really varries. Sometimes we're in the mood to go home and grill up some dinner. Last night it was bratwurst for me, salmon fillets for her and corn on the cob and peach daqueri's for both of us...
Although you can't go wrong with steaks and bacon wrapped corn on the cob either...
But sometimes we head straight from the boat ramp to one of the local waterfront restaurants. We have an amazing mexican place with an outdoor patio that looks over the river we play in. Chips and Salsa and Mango Margaritas are hard to beat...

Yup....that's what I want to move to. Tired of being 45 minutes away from one of the things I live the most.....the water.
Takes me a little over 15 minutes to drive to the two closest launches. The guy that I bought my boat from lived 5 minutes from his favorite launch. Another guy I know opt'd to move from downtown Portland to instead rent a houseboat on the river. He moors his boat on the deck in front of his houseboat. Not a bad setup at all!
The river isn't always as perfectly smooth as a lake, and we get plenty of times when it's windy and choppy, but it's pretty manageable. Plus, we do have lakes within a mild drive too...

Yeah, I drive home an hour to the storage lot and then spend the next hour putting her away to my satisfaction. Some 'tradition' huh?

Seams we never get off of the water before dark.
Most of the time dinner is made on my parents toon at some point.
The lake we frequent turns butter about two hours before dark so we tend to be out kinda late. In the middle of the summer we hit the ramp about 11pm.
