mr.jrc -- 1986 Supra Saltare
I would like to build an original Saltare trailer (an hybrid actually with european accessories), as it's impossible to find here in France.
As you are rebuilding your trailer, can you please make a scheme of it with measurements ?

Looking great as usual.
What did you end up gluing to the inside of the inner fender piece? I think I saw glue on it in one shot, but then in another shot it looks like I see the raw wood after the piece was mounted on the trailer.
Indoor/outdoor carpet glue, applied w/a 1/8 v notch trowel. I also used 5/8" galvanized staples. I'll add some more pics of this process... First I cut out a 2'x6'x3/4" pressure treated plywood, scribed the fender profile then cut. I rough cut the bunk carpet, laid down the glue, flipped it then stapled the entire perimeter on back (tire) side. I then cut the excess carpet in the radius areas and added a few more staples. This gives a nice, wrinkle free radius.

Got it. That's pretty much the same process I did, but I think what confused me for a minute was that there was glue completely covering the plywood (or maybe that's the carpet side of the plywood). I originally thought you were going to do something with the "non-carpet" side of the piece, but I've caught up now.
