Got her in yesterday. New Prop, (lap fitted), new stuffing box hose, repack on the stuffing box, new strut bushings, new shaft coupling, installed a raw water strainer, put the newly rebuilt carb back on, and put her in the water. Unfortunately, it was on my last day at the cottage to actually get the boat in the water and by the time I got the leak on the thermostat housing fixed, I was out of time an only had time blast out to the middle of the lake and back. It won't idle at all, but no time to really mess with it. Now with the new prop properly fitted I can rule out the prop slipping, so I think I'll be rebuilding the tranny (sigh)

For the idle problem. Screw both idle adjustment all the way in and do 2 1/2 turns out for each and go from there. Even at 2 1/2 turns its pretty close to spot on for 600 rpm idle...

Finally made it out yesterday. Water temp: 58F and we trunked it. Everything ran perfectly!

Ran ours Memorial Day. Had some starter issues late in the day, but had two people on the wakeboard...trunks. Water was in the upper 50's. Air was around 80.
