Thread: New Bimini

    Default New Bimini

I'm looking for a new bimini for an 07 launch 20. I like the z5 but can't bring myself to spend 2Gs on it. The other two options are monster tower and krypt. The MT requires you to drill into the tower whereas the krypt doesn't. All in all, I like the krypt the least but hate the thought of drilling into my tower.

Secondly, I'm struggling with the headroom issue. I'm 6'3" and know there will be many whacks to the head. The other option is an "over the top" bimini. Any comments, suggestions,or past experiences would be helpful.

I think most people buying the MT cargo buy separate tower clamps so drilling isn't necessary. It's been on my list for a while now, just haven't pulled the trigger. Z5 is definitely the best, but I'm with you on the cost.

Do you know what clamps for the MT? Thanks.

I'm not sure, it was a thread over on the moomba forum. Some type of speaker clamp that they drilled the mount into and then clamped it on the tower. So you end up drilling the clamp, not the tower.

image.jpgthats an after market monster tower, over the top. It actually came out better than I thought it would but I had to drill holes so let's hope it lasts.

Which tower do you have? Why not get a factory bimini?

I just did the big air bimini. Paid around $600 and looks pretty good. Really easy install with no drilling.

I have a Z5 I removed from my '06 V22 after I replaced the stock tower with the Roswell Aviator. Make me an offer.
