I have a 2008 SSV that I just pulled the steering cable out to replace and attached a string. However, I am having a heck of a time getting the steering cable back through the first bend. I have lots of other wiring going through there and it just doesn't want to go. Anyone have any tricks to help get it through the back to whole back to the area by the fuel tank? I have 2 months left of it in my garage so I figure if nothing else I will give it a try another day.

String has too much give to it. I tried that and had the same problem. Use a fish also have someone on the other end feeding it down.

Push the end hard to make the bend.
Possibly lube it with dish soap.
Agree 2 people 1 push, 1 pull makes it easier.
