    Default Fuel delivery issue

Have a 86 pirata a/ 454 losing power at 1700 rpm. Loss of fuel at the filter replaced fuel pump, water separator and blew air through open fuel lines. Going to replace check valve on the tank in the morning, or does anyone have any other ideas thanks

whoa, weird, we just got a fuel problem Saturday with out CC! What are the odds? lol

When we crank the motor with the pump outlet disconnected it seems very strong... So we are ordering a new filter. PO put on a large Racor fuel filter/water separator and the flow charts show once it hits around 140~150 grams of debree the flow falls off a cliff...

It first started at anything 3,000+ then 2,500+ then 2,000+ on to 1,500+ now we cant go over 1,000 rpm it starves so bad... Real big bummer... Hoping to get the Supra out next weekend in case we can't get the CC working... Good luck to ya!

If your pickup in the tank has a sock, that would be my next guess. The sock can collapse when it gets covered with crud and shuts down the flow. I check it the old fashioned way...lift the supply hose above the level of the tank and see if you can blow bubles back into the tank. If not...a quick fix is to use the air compressor to blow the crud backwards through the line and open up the sock. After that, it should work for many months, unless the tank is really dirty inside.

Did blow backwards into the tank with the check valve off still the same problem will be putting new pickup tube on then more than likely replacing all fuel lines to eliminate the possibility of collapsed line but before that will use a stand alone gas can and run directly to the pump to help trouble shoot
