Default Best Setup for SA350 without Swell for Surfing

I am getting solid at surfing and am playing with my settings to get the best wave. I surf goofy footed and I have found that a 30, 60, 100 setup with the wakeplate at 75% and 10.3 mph seems to work best. What are others seeing as the optimal setting? More ballast in center or left and the push seems to be less. At this point, the push isn't critical as I am solid pumping and am close on my 360.

I have upgraded bags. The 750s are incredible and a must for all surfers. They made a world of difference. I am consistently getting a waste high wave. I am 6'5" and 250 lbs and have no problem dropping the rope and going until my legs want to fall off. My goal is to get the perfect wave and think I am close, but want to hear what others are seeing.

I put another bag underneath the starboard side seat (behind the drivers seat). It was probably around a 400lb bag, then I had everyone sit on the surf side.

    side note:
You could ask your dealer about installing the Moomba Flow Surf system on your SA. I know a couple people who have done it.

It really is amazing the difference a couple hundred pounds makes with the push. We've gone out a few times with just 3 guys (all approx 175 lbs), 1100 in the Port rear locker, and 1180 in the center. When the 175 lbs spotter sits in the back left corner, you just don't get much push.

We swap out and the spotter is 300 lbs buddy of ours, and you feel that push drive you all the way to the transom. Probably just need to get my tsunami pump and throw a spare 600 lb bag back there.

    BigSurfer,

Have you tried any different configurations?

I have tried almost every variation. A group of us surf every weekend now. 30. 70, 100 is the best setup. The more weight in the boat the better. 10.3 is best speed with a couple of people in boat. With more than two you have to go much faster or you outrun the boat. We had 5 adults in the boat yesterday and had a huge wave that was super clean. Hoping to post pictures very soon. Anyone else seeing anything better?

They guy I know that has the flow loves it on his SA.

This is another set up that I have run on an SA without the swell or flow, when I haven't had very many people in the boat. I put a 750 on the seat on the surf side. Another 750 on the rear seat, pushed towards the surf side. None surf side is nearly empty, and bow about 50% surf side 100%. Wake plate anywhere from 0-50%

We have switched it up. 10 90 100 with 15 on the wake plate and 10.4 on cruise. Large clean wakes!

Here is a quick one. 3 Adults in the boat. Keep in mind I am 6ft 5 tall so this is a huge wave. I am working on getting video to share. IMG_0726.jpg
