How do you guys start out? Would love to do this with my daughter as well

The first time I started by holding her with her facing me I swung her around with one arm but she is only about 33 lbs. (that was last summer) now we both put our feet on the board with hers between mine. and she wraps her arms around my legs and I kind of squeeze her with my knees. and get up regular.
