What Oil / Filter do I need?

Have the Indmar 5.7 325 Assault. Is it the Pennzoil 15w40 that's recommended? How many quarts do I need? 5?

Anyone have the filter part number?

I just ran the filter info down last week...........Purolator L15315 or Mobil M1-111 or NAPA 7099 (Napa is WIX).

I have a 2005 21v with the same motor. I use Mobile 1 15w-50 synthetic. I have used the same oil for the last 900 hours and it holds up great. I use a FRAM PF5 filter- it is the oversized one for big trucks. It should almost exactly 5 quarts.

I believe the taller Fram is a PH5......and if you have no clearance issues it's virtually the same with a slightly thicker gasket and taller body.

In terms of flow, filtration, and design there are some reasons to consider brands other than Fram. A quick youtube search will provide you some insight on the differences......everyone has an opinion, right?!?

I use Mobil 1 15w50 in all my boats . I order Mobile 1 or C&N filters from ebey motors . I buy at leist 6 at a time for under 5 dollars a piece make sure they offer free shipping. I get the oil from Wall Mart 26.00 for 5 qt jug.
