    Default Super Trapp Conversion?

Anybody with the 454 convert there Super Trapps to straight pipes or the Baffles? What was the sound difference if any? Quieter at idle or louder? Louder at running speed?

Louder all around is what happened with my small block when I eliminated the supertrapps. I would assume the same for the big block.

I have a Pirata with a 454 and a Brendella supercomp with 351 both straight piped. The 454 is quieter, probably because the boat is bigger so the pipes are longer by a foot or two. My 454 generally runs at a lower rpm to which helps. My 351 has a resonance at a certain rpm that is bad, I want to say it is around 35mph. 34 and below not bad, 38 and above not bad.

I took mine off and installed rubber flaps. The boat sounds awesome!!! Not too loud, but enough to sound really good. Because its a wet exhaust its not what you'd expect with no mufflers. I also noticed the boat seemed to accelerate better and I got a few hundred more rpm out of it....I highly recommend
