    Default Is this teak?

    I am restoring an old pontoon. Is the wheel teak and can it come back to life??

    Looks like Unobtanium. You're screwed.





    Yeah looks like teak. Should have no problems bringing it back. The cracks will show up pretty well once new oil is applied, so expect that.

    Yes thats teAk. Wash it and lightly sand then use 80%linseed oil and 25%mineral spirits. Do a few coats and back to new. Go to the team talk board they have two very good write ups. On there. Here's one http://www.mastercraft.com/teamtalk/...ad.php?t=60247

    That's one way to make haugy have a nervous break down. Follow the team talk directions. I have used done my teak furniture and my fishing boat with those directions and it comes out better then new and lasts a ton longer then teak oil.
