My manual on a 91 comp PCM 1.23:1 reduction 2.0 quarts 20w "sf" rated engine oil, but warns that dipstick should be fully seated after running 2-3 min at idle immediately check, then add to keep at full. Apparently varies a little depending on cooler and angle of tranny mount. Mine looks perfectly clean after 700+ hrs. Is she running ok?

Yeah everything is running ok, I changed the oil this past weekend and wasn't sure how much to put in. I put in 2 quarts, it just seemed like I took a lot more out. Boat was new to me this spring.

I typically pump into clean quart jars and measure how much I get out, replace same amount and then road test. Makes clean up a little more time consuming but gives me piece of mind.
